Hi, we are Nigel and Marie Brown. We've been involved in pet rescue for over 40 years. We 'fell into' Kiki's Hope when we answered a desperate plea on the internet for someone to foster a staffie for 2 weeks. That's our Pixie that we ended up adopting. That was 5 years ago and we already had 5 rescue dogs, and she made number 6. We were actively helping other Rescues with rehoming at the time, but by the end of 2020 some of our older dogs had sadly died, and the effects of Covid meant that our fostering services were freed up. This coincided with a real push by Kiki's Hope to get dogs out of Serbia. We'd been impressed by the support shown to us with Pixie, so we volunteered initially to help them get 5 Pulins to the UK. In the end this snowballed to a total of 15 (and counting) dogs fostered and adopted. In addition we've been happy to transport a number of dogs and supplies around the country to help Kiki's Hope. Kiki's Hope for Animals is a hugely caring organisation, that puts the welfare of animals at the heart of all they do. Great care goes into making sure the animals are found the best possible homes, and they provide lifelong support for all the animals that have been under their care. In addition, they do amazing work in trying to make the lives of the animals in Serbia and The Balkans better, but this comes at great emotional and financial cost. Please consider adopting or sponsoring an animal, or donating to this amazing organisation. Here are pictures of some of our foster dogs. 💕
